Cheshire

Cheshire’s unique rolling landscape has created a huge number of
water features and its title as the unofficial pond capital of
Europe!
Nearly all the county is made up of the Cheshire Plain, but it is
also home to part of the Peak District National Park, the first of
its kind to be designated in the UK and claimed to be the world’s
second most popular national park.
There are more than 2,000 miles of footpaths and public rights of
way, including the long distance Sandstone and Gritstone trails,
and the Cheshire Cycleway covers an exhilarating 176 miles.
An impressive and famous network of canals provides extensive
recreational opportunities and are home to the world’s first and
UK’s only working boatlift.
Climbers are catered for at the North of England’s two most
important sandstone outcrops, Helsby Hill and Woodhouse Hill,
whilst Mow Cop provides stunning views for miles across the border
to Staffordshire.
