Haverwaite

Forests in the Northwest
Haverthwaite can be found sat beside the River Leven and is a terminus for the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, which still runs to Windermere’s lakeside during the tourist season.

An 18-acre Victorian park owned by the National Trust known as Fell Foot is a quiet, relaxing place that runs right down to the lakeside, which also contains the award-winning Aquarium of the Lakes. Here you can watch diving ducks, otters and view over thirty brilliant displays of the UK’s largest collection of freshwater fish.
