Parks
Whilst not strictly a “natural” asset the
major landscaped parklands in the Northwest use natural elements of
landform with water, tree and shrub planting to create an
attractive landscape that is often a spectacular recreation
resource.
Many of these parklands were created as the setting for large
stately houses such as those at Tatton and Lyme Hall. These large
country estates with parkland are a feature of the Cheshire
landscape in particular.
