Marbury Country Park
Marbury Country Park was once the site of Marbury Hall and is set
in 200 acres of beautiful parkland, within easy walking distance of
Northwich town centre.
Here you will find sweeping avenues of lime trees and other
species from around the world, woods and gardens that surround the
lovely Budworth Mere.
From a viewing hide on the mere’s southern shore you can spot a
wide variety of bird life, including Great Crested Grebe, Mallard
and Coot, whilst the mere itself provides an ideal base for
sailing.
In spring the park’s woodlands are carpeted with Bluebells;
there is an arboretum and community orchard, a children’s play area
and picnic site.
The active Friends of Anderton and Marbury Park group organise a
busy programme of walks, talks, conservation tasks and events,
details of which can be obtained from the Ranger service.
